  • Very interesting. We celebrate Remembrance Day here ( 11th on November ). On the nearest Sunday there are parades to the local War Memorial and everyone wears their poppies with pride. I hope this custom doesn’t get lost in the mistsof time as there are fewer and fewer veterans of the Great Wars left now. Some three years ago the minutes silence at 11.00 am. was restarted and is observed by most people. Marie
