Very interesting. We celebrate Remembrance Day here ( 11th on November ). On the nearest Sunday there are parades to the local War Memorial and everyone wears their poppies with pride. I hope this custom doesn’t get lost in the mistsof time as there are fewer and fewer veterans of the Great Wars left now. Some three years ago the minutes silence at 11.00 am. was restarted and is observed by most people.

Maries is probably a Brit like me or a member of the Commonwealth at least, and she has said more or less what I was going to say.

Thank you Becca for your kind message . It ‘ s good to read friends who think of you .
Life is going here and indeed I am busy with the garden and stand close near Janine who had difficulties with the mourning . But she is better now ..
I think I will re – start the blogging next Thursday if all is alright .
