  • Pumpkin time in Cinci _ LE

It was a gorgeous weekend in Cinci.  The temperature was perfect both days.  It was sunny and the sky was the blue a sky should be.  We took advantage of both days enjoying seasonal events.  We decided on a little Pumpkin festival not far from us.

We drove just outside of Milford, Ohio to Shaw Farms.  The field was filled with cars.  In the pumpkin areas, there was a lot of serious pumpkin shopping going on.

    Some photos

Shoppers in all sizes were shopping for the pumpkins.

Pumpkins weren’t exactly flying out the door but arms and carts were filled with them.

You just wade around through the piles and when you find the right one, hoist it up.  I think he has about 6 of them in the wheelbarrow.

I had one picked out but he isn’t so sure about getting it home and just where are we going to put it? he is thinking.  My argument … but it’s so pretty.

Pumpkins were in piles everywhere all over the grounds and displays were filled and what can be more fun than patting and feeling and lifting

This stand was in Milford city, not the festival.

It’s no secret I’m a fan of pumpkins.  I like to eat them, carve them and take photos of them.  My hope is you enjoy my efforts which include them.

    Have a great week,
    Becca

  • what a wonderfully orange post. I too love pumpkins. I have a pile on my front porch right now.

  • I haven’t gotten out with my camera lately to take pumpkin pictures.  These are so pretty.  But, cannot see the last one—-it has the dreaded red X!  Thanks for sharing.

  • I love your pumpkin photos but most of I love your Wallpaper. Very nicely designed.

  • Great photographic report of this pumpkin market , Becca. And I like the attitudes of people and children .
There is a lot of pumpkins . When you say Cinci , I think you speak of Cincinati in Ohio . I have a post card coming from  our dear regreted LK/ Muse showing pumpkins in Ohio . It is displayed on a wall of my office .

    Love

  • Happy Halloween and God Bless.

  • Due to the very wet summer here the pumpkins haven’t ripened so are small and NOT orange ! It’s a good job that we Brits don’t celebrate Halloween in quite the same way you Americans do as there’d be some very disappointed people here. Lovely photos of happy people. Marie

  • These are really nice pictures. I’m partial with the one with Dad in it, though. He’s cuter than those other people. I’m looking forward to your visit in December in hopes that we can do some of this type of outing together.

  • I love that pumpkin color too. I just love the fall colors!

  • Great pumpkin photos.

    Thanks for letting me join.

Have a great rest of the week.  Now I am going hunting for pumpkins.

  • I came over from Pirates site….

Pumpkins are in abundence now.  Isn’t it a lovely time of the year?

  • The pumpkins are so cute =]

as for your comments, I am glad to see you understand my post, and comfort =the best fashion ever :P

  • I love pumpkins too! We go pumpkin shopping with the kids today! Hurray!!!!!

RYC: We had one fire get close to our town, but not close enough to evacuate or worry even…well a little. I have some friends and family who have lost homes though, one family is staying with us this weekend, maybe longer. It’s just heartbreaking.
I keep reading comments from people about how the media needs to stop comparing this to Katrina…why should anyone feel sorry for the rich people in malibu. Malibu was about the least affected in this. Most of the communities that were so hard hit are blue collar neighborhoods…and aside from the loss of life, california is pretty devastated, comes close to the ’94 earthquake. It’s so sad.
I can hear water dropping planes flying over right now…so many fires are still raging out of control. The media grew bored with it already, but we’re not out of the woods yet.

  • Just thought I’d pop by again and have a read of the other comments. I see from Halie’s comment that you and John are going there in December, which brought back memories of you standing in the Beach in Virginia and giving me a yell. Almost a year ago now.

  • These pictures are terrific! I hope you had a nice Halloween with lots of little goblins at your door. I only had about 10.
