Mother’s Day was a feel good weekend.
We added to my movie collection and to a few “I wants” for my kitchen addiction, cookware. Our movies purchased included another Oscar’s Best Picture. I now have, after study, a corrected figure, 39 best pictures on hand and 38 titles I need to add to this segment of my collection. All of the Oscar Best Picture winners are still in existence, VHS and DVD. Most of mine are the newer ones. Columbia House has most of what I am missing, my wish list is long. They are minus about 4 titles but what they don’t have Amazon or Barnes and Noble will.
What is so neat about the older best pics is, the stories and the famous of the eras come to life on the screen along with the experience of seeing the past no longer with us. The IMDB has the whole list CLICK HERE. There are movies in the grouping I have never seen and actors I have never experienced telling stories I won’t ever know unless I add them to my collection. It’s exciting to realize the older movies relate to time frames similar to today’s experience with only the environment appearing different. Man doesn’t change. He retains his faults and his good points for the future’s story telling and future discernment all surrounded by equilibriums.

Today, I do some reading. I am taking time away from computing, regularly, and enjoying it. I watched 3 of my very favorite movies, again, this week. I love adventure and never tire of the Jurassic Park series. How else would I ever see dinosaurs so life like and experience a situation so out of this world?
Have a super week and BGTU,

I’m glad your special day was a good one
Old films don’t appeal to me – well, neither do new ones.
I have noticed though that the acting in older films seems better than in new ones. Are todays stars only chosen for their looks I wonder ???

first off, your pink tulips background is beautiful! So spring!
and as far as collecting all the best picture movie winners– I think you may have given me one great idea!!!
Thanks for your kind words..are those tulips? Amazing..I thought they were another flower..but mm..the lush opening of buds in spring..delicious..and you’re so right..”man kind” doesnt change ..on and on..a stage a phase..all pass across..facinating isnt it? Hope I am creeping my way onward toward something more conscious* Have you seen “Photographing Fairies”? I watch it late at night sometimes..sad yet hopeful..and Jurassic Park..amazing feat of creation..my fav the first computerized shadows of motion..and true creation in computer tech..a leap* forward while looking ( far far) backward.:::smiles:::.Sounds like you had a great weekend ((Wings))
You have a great collection Becca . Are all your nmovies on the topicc of the best pictures ?
About the old movies they recall my youth and make me a little nostalgic . However I like them .
Have a great week end .
Love
Michel
ps : I believe I already have congratuled you for your gorgeous background .
We have a large movie collection. Some are old and some are new. I’d like to transfer all our VHS tapes to DVDs. I’m going to work on that some this summer. Your pink flower background is beautiful!
Have a very happy sunday and may God’s Love fill your heart.

Well, guess who this is–asuming that is that I am allowed to post this–you know me and computers! I finally found my way back in here!!! Absolutely stunning photography, as always, you know I am your biggest fan! I am going to try to work my way backwards to do some catch up work, tonight, because tomorrow I may have lost my way again. I love the poem on the side. My Mother’s day was wonderful–eventually–though I was sure I had been totally forgotten until late afternoon–but everyone checked in sooner or later. One son came and rolled my lawn for me so I wouldn’t have so much trouble walking out to my garden. He couldn’t have done anything I would have appreciated more. Oh, I had a granddaughter graduate last Saturday and a grandson graduating in Chicago. Figuered me out yet? Yep, you baby sister, the younger pretty one (once upon a time). I miss you. I have a guy working on my old tower even as we speak–he had it up and running. I’m going to have him look at this one, too, if the first doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Next Sunday I am off for a week at Clown Camp. Have been sick again, but today and yesterday were pretty good. Am done with school for the year–yea! Love you. Hug Johnny for me. Bunny
Just another note: our Walmart’s here have $1 DVD’s with some really good titles. Check your stores to see if they have racks of them like ours do. The only difference is the case they come in–not as fancy. Yes, there are a lot of childrens things there, but there are an awful lot of adult titles, too, and no, not xxx. Love you again–or still. Mother’s Day was indeed a good one. I spent it in San Antonio with my son’s family.
God Bless
