POLITICAL KNOTS and NOTES
NEWLY UPDATED AREAS MARKED NEW IN RED:
NEW October 7, 2009
For PURE POLITICAL LISTENING PLEASURE , You may even sing along on this one and one of the many jokes per health care rounding the Internet.
The phone rings and the lady of the house answers.
“Hello?”
Mrs. Sanders, please.”
“Speaking.”
“Mrs. Sanders, this is Dr. Jones at St. Agnes Laboratory . When your husband’s doctor sent his biopsy to the lab last week, a biopsy from another Mr. Sanders arrived as well.
We are now uncertain which one belongs to your husband. Frankly, either way the results are not too good.”
“What do you mean?” Mrs. Sanders asks nervously.
“Well, one of the specimens tested positive for Alzheimer’s and the other one tested positive for HIV. We can’t tell which is which.”
That’s dreadful! Can you do the test again?” questioned Mrs. Sanders.
“Normally we could, but the new health care system will only pay for these expensive tests just one time.”
Well, what am I supposed to do now? “
“The folks at Obamacare recommend that you drop your husband off somewhere in the middle of town. If he finds his way home, don’t sleep with him.”

I’m ready to throw up … I’d paste this video into my blog If I could, but it’s on FOXNEWS so, a link and you really want to listen to this. Hear New Jersey elementary school children singing the praises of the man in the oval office and if the link doesn’t get you there the story is on the front page today http://www.foxnews.com/:

I hope you, who still read my site entries, when I post them, will listen to this video taken from YouTube. Ronald Reagan was and still is one of our most highly respected presidents of our age. I will say, certainly there is a conservative bias in this link. I have looked at the “about this site” and looked up the people involved in it but I would call WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THIS SITE, REAL FOOD for THOUGHT. Here, a link to the front door, http://www.freemarketcure.com/. You will discover more there.Every day I wonder at what monsterous abominations of the human race have been voted into our government and what other plans these people have. Just what is the intended outcome for this country? I have a hard time believing, you who voted for CHANGE, that is now so transparent in it’s devaluation of those things that were so important to the creation of this country and the welfare of us all, are as estatically happy as the day the deed was done. If you are, I think you still may be wearing blinders preventing you from reading between the lines.I continue to build my movie collection which includes now, 58 of the 80 Best Pictures and many politically motivated stories. Stories are often just stories but I find most are written with real happenings as a basis. It’s enlightning to watch the older movies written on politics, military and war. Most have images into the realities of the timeframe and it’s amazing how alike the desires of people everywhere are dating back to the timeframe of the movie and well before. Each and everyone has taught me something. Here are a couple wonderful movies I would suggest watching:

FreedomExit Polls Info from this page: http://www.electoral-vote.com/
The NY Times has the exit poll data. Obama barely won among men (49% to 48%), but strongly among women (56% to 43%), overwhelmingly among blacks (95% to 5%), and convincingly among Latinos (66% to 31%) and Asians (62% to 35%). However, he lost among whites (43% to 55%) as Democrats normally do. He did progressively worse with age, winning the 18-29 year-olds 66% to 31% but losing seniors 52% to 46%. He swept every educational category as well as Catholics and Jews but lost Protestants 54% to 45%. He won people living in big cities, small cities, and suburbs, but lost in small towns and rural areas. One is tempted to say McCain won in traditional 19th century America (what Sarah Palin would call “real America”): older white Protestant men living in small towns. Obama won everywhere else. The Republican Party is going to have to think long and hard if it wants to hitch its wagon to this fading star while the Democrats are going after younger, multicultural, urban voters.Professional Journalism’s Code of Ethics from this page: http://www.spj.org/ethicscode.aspPreamble to the Journalist’s Cod of EthicsMembers of the Society of Professional Journalists believe that public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy. 3. Conservatism The principles and policies of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom or of the Progressive Conservative Party in Canada.
4. Caution or moderation, as in behavior or outlook. My Thoughts:I am what I feel might be called a mixed republican conservative or possibly a very conservative liberal.-
1- ABORTION: I believe in a woman’s right to choose but prefer, over abortions, the educated use of condoms and if an abortion has to be the choice, the first trimester should be the limiting time span unless there is truly a health risk for the mother. Partial Birth Abortion is disgusting, abominable and should never be used unless there is no other choice.
-
2- GAY RIGHTS: my son was gay and though a difficult person, he was worth his weight in gold and deserved all of what anyone who is a good person deserves. Who are we to limit a persons right to happiness and a loving partner. If it’s a sin, let God be the one to condemn the person, not the human race. Human, after all, has a definition one and the same as humane. Two people dedicated to each other should have the same rights for house/home/happiness/jobs/insurance/benefits as working others who may have a piece of paper stating “married”. I’m personally a bit sick of government looking into the bedroom window.
-
3- STEM CELL RESEARCH: WIKIPEDIA for INFORMATION on STEM CELL RESEARCH: I have no problems with the use of stem cell research to help the living. If and when there is a better way then go with it but until then there are people in dire need who may live better lives through the use of stem cells.
-
4- THE RIGHT TO DIE OR TO LIVE WITH DIGNITY: I am a proponent for dignity in death and if I so choose it, the right to die as painlessly as possible over and above being kept alive to die in painful bits and pieces.
-
5- MILITARY: I believe in a strong military and national defence and think every citizen of the United States should serve in a military capacity if only working in an office for the duration of his enlistment.
-
6- GUNS: I believe strongly in my right to keep and bear arms but I have great reservations about assault weapons. I don’t see them in the hands of the general population but know criminals will always have them. I want to retain the right to protect myself and my family in my own home. I think every citizen should be trained in the proper use of handguns and other legal arms SO they can be called upon with confidence to help in a crisis. There will always be nut cases who will be a danger with a knife if not a gun or a log if not a knife, we need to be aware but taking away my guns will not alleviate the problems of the unstable. I believe children should be schooled properly per weapons and their use and taught what death is instead of hiding it from them. Children can’t be concerned with death or what it means if no one teaches them exactly what the loss entails.
-
7- PATRIOTISM: I believe we are losing as a nation when we don’t educate ourselves to be patriotic. I believe the survival of nations depends on one of two things. 1- a deep patriotic loyalty coupled with sensible freedoms and a respect for one another through educated bonding thereby building a love of country and the people within. 2- A strong upper hand say as in China. Which would you prefer?
-
8- GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS: This is a real sore spot with me. I believe in a helping hand but I also believe in a moral obligation to ourselves to refuse excess handouts. I believe they serve to weaken instead of strengthen us, as a Nation. There is nothing wrong with an honest day’s work. Government Handouts should be temporary or leeches are bred and we have bred millions of them. Isn’t it better to encourage self sufficiency and a responsibility for oneself? There are jobs that can be done to earn any government handout. The trash along the side of the road that spreads for miles into the deserts would be a good start, for God’s sake. It shames me when I see the filthy face we present from litter on the streets to the litter in our minds, to visitors to our country from other parts of the globe.
-
9- ILLEGALS: Today, with the threat of terrorism around the globe, I have a strong opinion per illegals. I think the citizenry of all nations needs to work together to discover illegals, reporting who and where they are, and we should not allow our government to tie the hands of our law enforcers READ THIS FOR EYEOPENING. I don’t want my money used to fund the welfare of people who have no use for the law while draining my tax dollars. Legal citizens are denied the help they need through funding millions of illegals who put very little back into the coffers. I think a border fence is futile. To stop illegals, extend proper temporary work visas and DISCOVER AND PUNISH EMPLOYERS WHO HIRE ILLEGALS. Heather McDonald is a writer I found, easy to read and methodical in her writing. Check out some of her articles on Illegals. READ THIS FOR EYEOPENING and this: Hispanic Family Values; and What would Mexico do with protesting illegals; and Immigration Myths; and Amnesty Lessons; and the Republican’s Hispanic Delusions; and Honesty From the Left on Hispanic Immigration; and Whimping Out on Welfare and she has a ton more to discover, Check out her list of articles, HERE.
-
10- ENGLISH the OFFICIAL LANGUAGE of the UNITED STATES: Did someone dare to say I should learn Spanish instead of the Hispanic immigrant learning English. Am I supposed to learn Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Arabic and all else as there are immigrants and illegals in the United States who are from those language speaking countries and MORE. GET REAL.
My hopes, that the majority might feel the same way I feel, were dashed in the presidential elections of 2008. How can goals/desires/interests/needs/ be so similar and yet be so dissimilar in accomplished understanding? How can long term, positive results be, so elusive? How can what is so transparent to some be, so opaque to others? Is there no pride left? Is there no willingness to persevere to preserve what people died for and are dying for, to see that you and I have the privileges we have? I HAVE DECIDED, it’s the water people are drinking, and sadly, the craplines we choose to be fed.I have more to say but will have to work at its construction. As I am being ignored as a fool and some writers have intimated I am a hate filled racist, I can only say, read back in my blogs to discover a little about me. My tags are listed and you only have to look.Holy shit, where’s the tylenol?

You are as unhappy as I am.

Heil to the new Thug in Chief
for the most part, we will be just fine… i don’t believe he can any worse than atilla, ghangus, or nero were… the world is still here despite their worst efforts.
As McCain said last night, he is our new president, we must ALL support him.
As a registered Republican I have voted that way for the last 20 years or so, not that I agree with all republican thinking…far from it, but yesterday I voted for Obama, and I am proud that I did. I couldn’y get behind McCain, and I thought his choice of running mates was an insult to the intelligence of women everywhere!
I hope you will see your way clear to back our new President, as an American, not as a “republican” or “democrat”.
@mommers - Hi, I want to thank you for your supportive comment. It appears you and I are minorities in Xanga, Republican voters and if there are others, they are hiding somewhere in the woodwork. Possibly those who might agree with my stance are like those who didn’t come out to vote as they allowed themselves to be beaten beforehand hearing the opposite party had already won so, they didn’t come out and vote to at least be counted. There were approximately 10,000,000 less votes for the Republican party and I would be the last to say the platform was perfect but I will also say it amazes me so many would vote for the democratic entry without knowing details of the man they voted for as the press refused to do proper research and fair reporting. I have been singled out as a hate monger and a racist which I am not. Anyone reading my blogs would discover my reporting on the history of my personal genealogy which includes, color. I have decided I will leave this blog at the top of my page while keeping vigil on subsequent occurrences in politics. The dems should get down on their knees and thank God for people like myself who will be keeping an eye on our nation and what this newly appointed leader intends to do with promises made. Personally, I try to be somewhat liberal in my thinking as I feel “sin” is for a greater power than myself to condemn, but the thought of some of the extremes in the democratic platform are more than I could be associated with, but then, I would never have voted to be less vigilant when it comes to national security and a prepared military defense no matter what the opposite side had to offer. My own daughter won’t serve veal or lamb as she says they don’t eat babies but she worked long and hard for a man who champions not just the legality of abortions which I feel should be a womans right to choose but late Partial Birth Abortion which I accept only as a means of desperation to save a mother. I can’t condone the free use of this measure. There are other things but not wanting to write a book I’ll end here. When the man puts his hand over his heart and repeats the Pledge of Alliagence, sings our National Anthem while waving our flag wildly over his head, then and only then will I call him my president. I am very big on patriotism which I wonder if it has become a thing of the past. I would never be disrespectful but a visit to the White House has gone way down on my list of priorities. Thanks so much for your comment. Becca
@Aloysius_son - Hi and thanks for your comment. A little bit of humor this week can go a long way. Thanks for having the courage to stop by. I appreciate it.
@flaminredhead - After a few days of thinking I wanted to reply to your comment. I am also proud of how I voted, feeling no shame in having done it. I respect your views and certainly appreciate your thoughts. I will though, respectfully decline an invite to change my thinking. I have done continued reading to rethink my position but come up with the same answers. I will remain the sceptic watch dog who hopes she will live long enough to see exactly how this presidency will play out, giving it two terms. I would like to see all of what is promised come to frution in the best possible light but I have doubts. If your man had appeared more patriotic as his goal was the presidency, more appreciative of our flag waving it wildly above his head while singing our National Anthem (instead of his choice of song mentioned, ), I might have been more able to accept him. I’m from the old school of thought, if a man is to be the leader of this country, I want to know he loves it to his core and has respect for the men and the history that brought her to her greatness before making his changes. Until then, he may be sitting in the oval office but he isn’t my president, only someone who has the name of the office. Very sorry my opinions have been a disappointment to you but I’ll stand where I am along with millions of others who will also be watching.
@RSBlain - No, no, not a disappointment…
Every American has a right to vote and feel they way they do…that’s the point! Right? I think my original comment came out wrong somehow…*shrug*
I understand your stance, I understood my husband’s stance as well, he voted McCain, and even within my own home I would NOT try to change someone’s mind on their choice for President…
More like…I hope we can all give support to our new President, he’s your President too, even if you didn’t vote for him, like the troops are fighting for OUR country, not just those who serve in the military. Does that make sense?
Anyhow, I certainly didn’t mean to offend you in any way… I’ve gotta go back and read my comment now and figure out where I went wrong! LOL
(((Hugs to you)))
Thank you for posting this. I have been very silent on political matters as of late, as it seems that to be a Republican these days means that you are in line to get crucified.
I agree wholeheartedly with everything that you have posted here. I, too, along with you, will sit back and watch to see where this newly elected President will take our nation.

Better times will come hopefully for America . Good luck for the nation.

At least one of your points could be applied to another problem that you point out. Bush made getting an abortion, getting birth control pills, even getting counseling on birth control much harder. If we loosen up these stupid, pseudo-moral strictures, then we can help to control high birth rates among all people, not just Hispanics, who cannot properly raise a family.
Not everybody Wants to learn to use a gun; would you penalize them for it? Is requiring one to know how to safely handle a firearm before being allow to carry one an infringement of 2nd Amendment rights? The NRA would say so, I believe. But I believe the first clause of the 2nd means exactly that, a well-regulated militia. The National Guard would fulfill this role, but only if there were stricter standards for when a President can usurp the authority of a state’s governor. It irks me that 25% of Louisiana’s NG was in Iraq when Katrina hit the state. Congress should have to declare war before the Guard can be used outside the country.
I applaud and commend you for a fine post. Not many people of any political stripe put as much thought into their beliefs as you do.
Well, I guess not being American it does not matter what I think, as it will have no influence over there anyway. It appears you have all made your choice for better or worse. Now we shall have to wait and see whether it is better or worse. Seems to me your new President is an unenviable position taking over at such a time of war and financial chaos. Personally I hope the skeptics turn out to be wrong and that he succeeds in making the world a better place. We shall see.
@celestialmtn - I have been wondering if you read or posted in Xanga anymore. It’s possible i’ve been missing your entries. Age and health have cut my interest back though I do play on my graphics pages every week or am trying. I think admitted Republicans may be fewer in Xanga and none of us really want to make waves. I understand that condition as I cringe at receiving hateful comments. Being ignored may be the better of choices for helping to retain a happier mindset. Anyway, someone has to be on the other side of the fence to try to logically keep track as Charisma seems to have grabbed hold of many millions, plus the idea of change for the better. We all would like a better/changed world, I don’t deny that. But, getting there has more than a single path and I wonder at the path so many are willingly walking. To acquire change, (speaking of the world and Muslim terrorism, here) all parties have to desire it enough to allow individual, common sense personal rights without the threat of being killed. Religion is a very hairy animal. Those who believe strongly that to do the will of Allah he must kill everyone who does not accept the teachings of the Quran and believe as they do, must be wiped from the face of the earth. The polls report most Americans voting because of the backsliding economy, and of great concern to myself. But my main concern is the survival of the nation as a free republic allowing many beliefs without threat to those who are different than yourself. If we do not continue to fight terrorism, if we are unwilling to make sacrifices to retain what we have in the way of our democracy, we will lose it. Islamic extremist terrorists don’t see reason, they don’t talk and make deals. READ SOME EYE OPENING STATISTICS: Wikipedia and verify IslamicWebMuslimPopulations and then Islam Shaping A New Europe taken from links found on the right hand side of THIS Islamic Populations PAGES Be sure to follow and read other links you will find there. And, don’t miss this, a page that documents worldwide Islamic terrorism, the Bloody Borders Project. Thanks so much for your comment and I will apologize now for the possibility of not following your entries as I should. I’m not able to do things as I have in the past. I hope you and the baby are doing well. Becca
Since I am too lazy to do the research as you have, Becca, when I voted, it was against Bush. I think a lot of us oldies did that. Whatever happens in the next four years, one man and one party is not going to heal our country. It took all of us to get in this mess. I for one, think it is laughable to call you a racist. You and mommers are very intelligent, articulate people. I haven’t read your views before, but I have mommers and she gave me second thoughts. I must admit I had reservations. But as I said, I am lazy and voted for change.
@fauquet - Hi Michel, yes, I paid to have a name change as I couldn’t stand using the other anymore. I had to make the change. Thanks always for your comments on any and all of my blogs. Per America and her politics, I am hoping for better and that the newly elected don’t disappoint but instead surprise me. Becca
@MelFamy - Hi, I have noticed you have been blogging away. I hope you are finding new friends in the ring.
Speaking of the National Guard and the hurricane in Louisiana, the whole experience was terrible for people involved and for those of us viewing from a great distance. I think people see government as the fixer of all things because government has wrongly given us that impression. This is where self reliance comes in. Would you, if your house were burning, try to save your family or would you wait for the fire department who can arrive only after being called. I would grab and run as much as possible and then make the call but would also hope my neighbor would make the call while I was trying to save those I love. The guard, the fire department, the military is not always at our beck and call and if they are, can they be there fast enough? There are times you have to say to hell with the help that may or may not show up and get with it and do for yourself and others. This hurricane disaster was an instance that tells me we could use not just a national guard but the populace schooled in concern and how and what to do in a disaster. Living in a hurricane area, with homes built beside levees, way too many years old is not the place to balk at leaving when the worst is headed your way no matter how many hurricanes have passed you by. I really would have liked to have seen people leave the area when they were forwarned and had the time. I realize no one wants to lose material things, homes and material goods they have worked for over the years but more was lost by staying than would have been lost, by leaving. I realize also, there were seniors and people who were ill and hospitalized. These people should have been first priority, and when you think of the numbers of able citizens, it seems the important things could have been taken care of if a common sense plan had been quickly hashed out and put into place whereby citizens who could and should rely on each other would have been the majority of help. The military truly is only so many helping hands and the National Guard by itself is smaller still. Every citizen should be a part of something bigger and more available than the guard and so the reasoning behind training and association of each of us in a community / neighborhood help group. Does that make sense? Anyway, we have seen from that one experience, the magnitude of the need to rely on our own wits if we want to survive. And after the fact we work, all of us, to put what is destroyed back together. I think taking part and helping each other should be top priority instead of waiting for someone else to do what we may well be able to do ourself. With expanding populations, what other answer is there?
GUNS: every argument has its own problems and you are right, there would be people who have no interest in gun use but, as it’s better to learn a skill and not use it than it is to not learn a skill and then have a dire need for its use would, I think, be an argument for learning. There was a time in the not so long ago past where we were self reliant in all ways. I believe many of us will be wishing for many a skill we are no longer being taught and appreciation for a skill comes with knowledge and practice.
Thanks so much for reading and your comment. There are so many things to think about and your kind comments were a great help. Becca
@Sojourner_here - I think many a person voted against Bush and I myself was not 100% happy with either choice. Many voted for a third party and the polls tell us many didn’t vote at all, allowing the media to tell them all was lost. We should all vote the best we can going to the polls if we have to crawl. As for bigotry, that little evil reared it’s head displayed in a 95% vote in a single direction. Past histories are past histories that I or McCain had nothing to do with and to have a populace vote because of color is as distasteful as much as it is undeserved. It’s been generations after the fact and yes, there have been definite problems. There are bigoted people in the world the same as there are crooks on the Internet but who was it fought to free slaves, losing many a life at the time, to do what so many thought was right? And with the numbers who voted Democratic, I would say that is definitly not a bigoted vote from the white population. As for fixing problems, I hope it happens.
I re -read this post Becca and your answer to my comment .
The feature ” reply ” does not work for me .
I hope all is alright for you and I wish to you both a great Sunday .

What Fred Thompson said applies here too – in fact our ” mighty leader ” proposed the spend, spend theory to other countries apart from our own. Re. your worry about the new administration ( and it’s leader ) I can only hope that what he promises will come to pass, noy just for the USA but for the rst of the world. Marie
I watched the up dated videos , Becca. My problem is my hearing of the spoken English is very bad . So I cannot say much about them . But all I can say is the times are hard for finances and economy . We hear constantly about factories that close over the world and workers laid off . It is a bit worrying . Without forget the pensions ??
But we have to keep hope .

My goodness, you put a lot of work into this entry. I like what you’ve done with the place.
Thanks for your kind comments about my Christmas poem.
I’m surprised to find that I agree with every single one of your “Thoughts,” and have very strong feelings that agree with yours about guns and government handouts. I’ve never been involved in an election as I’ve only recently turned 18, and have never stuck myself with “Republican” or “Democrat,” as the definitions seem to have changed in the past 60 years, but I keep myself surprisingly politically informed.
If I were to put all of my thoughts into republican and democrat catagories, I start to feel like a 60 year old farmer, (And a very handsome beard, if I do say so myself,) I’d be a downright staunch republican, which I personally find hillarious to say, having not been politically active.
Hey, long time no read (my fault)…I agree with just about everything you have written here and I am a Democratic voter. I don’t think there is such a big difference in belief as there is in maybe style or culture? Could it be so?
You added a up date Becca . Finally this entry becomes a serious and complete study well documented .

Hi Becca, (waves)
I think we would love to hear more from you, you know! : )
What is happening in your world?
I had never heard Reagan’s views on socialized medicine. Thanks for posting.
Becca,
Am impressed you’ve been doing your homework. Had no idea you had gotten all this together. Have sent your site to several of my friends.
@msplunge - hI Donna and thanks for the encouragement. There are times I am so frustrated with those who are in charge and the stupidity and uncaring attitudes they display by the crap they have to offer those they were elected to care about. I’m not sure your friends will be able to see my site as it’s closed to non Xangans. I can email this entry to you to forward. You can let me know if you want me to email it so you can send it to friends. Me
I can only hope a good solution to this problem of Health care .
And all my wishes for the motorbikets .
Love
Michel
am impressed with all the research and work you have done on this page. Another great job Rebecca
Becca,
I forwarded the page to friends if they can’t get in will let you know. Thanks
As an English person I don’t feel that I should comment on your blog mainly because I don’t understand American politics and your voting system. You are obviously worried about the outcome of the next four years but there again most of us are because of the financial mess we are all in. Why have people accused you of being racist ? As far as I understand Obaa is of mixed race with a white mother and black father or is that fact kept hidden in order to get more votes – as the first black president ? Marie
Thans for posting, Becca. I am very worried about our country and what it will be when my grandchildren are grown. I went to a democratic picnic last Saturday tho I am a registered republican. It was the same ole same ole. Perhaps you have heard about our trustees who used their positions to get students enrolled at the U of I. All trustees resigned except two. When I was at the picnic, Governor Quinn was there and I had the opportunity to shae his hand and ask if the remaining two trustees would be banished as per his wishes. He said he was certainly working at it. I told him I hoped so because America is watching Illinois for we have such a dirty record for corruption in our government. Well, someone got to him for he reversed himself and the two trustees are still there. Sometimes I feel that politicians view us voters as ignorant pliable people easy to fool. If so, it is partially our fault for not paying attention and not complaining.
Good for you, Becca.
Whew!! Thanks for posting this!!
I am glad to see I am not alone in my views! This world is full of more and more ridiculously complicated protocols and insane ‘politically correct’ policies. I feel overly concerned about the disturbing ideological direction our administration is taking us. In fact it is very very scary here with this new government and all the other crazies running around this world.
Becca, my arthritis won’t let me sit long enough to read all of this and I cannot hear the videos so I will printout the commentary and read it bit by bit. One thing caught my attention and that was your mention of collecting movies. I have a crate of vhs movies. Tell me what you are missing or what you might like to add to your collection. If I have it, I will mail it to you.
Hugs,
Bev
I think it takes a while for president to make his mark.. its eaasy slip into criticism, how good are we at a new job in the first six months.? do peole exxpect something different? Afganistan enables countries to train their military .. this is where the battle lies.
Peace
As you know, I have strong feelings in favor of Obama, and in fact I am still optimistic that we’ll find our way toward a reasonable healthcare bill, which is the priority of the moment. That said, you can consider me a friend forever and a co-admirer of Ronald Reagan.
The Alzheimer/HIV joke, which was funny, works just as well if you substitute GOP for Obamacare. It works better, in my opinion, but I know you disagree with me on that.
@OwenHiggins - Hi Owen, yes, you are correct, it takes time for a president to hit his stride which I could wait for from an honest man with real concerns for his country. The thing is, bankrupting me to pay for mistakes made by big busines, while hitting his stride, bankrupting me to enable others who have no concerns about taking my money to pay for their laziness or to pay for illegals by the hundreds of thousands to have illegally what I can’t afford to have legally, while hitting his stride, just isn’t my cup of tea. As I am what I consider lower middle income and am retired with a husband also retired, both of us having worked all of our lives to have the little we have, I prefer not to be bled to pay for others unwilling to go about earning the same as I have their own incomes. I am not alone in my perspectives. Peace to you also.
@twoberry - good friends are like family and family doesn’t always agree. That is why it’s best not to disscuss politics with friends or family, if you want to retain good relations. I don’t trash or downgrade family or friends for not agreeing with me per politics. I just choose not to discuss politics with them especially if we don’t agree. Friends forever, you and me.
I video wouldn’t play so I didn’t get to hear the “song”
I guess that you are not happy about the award for the Nobel peace Prize ! I was shocked because I feel that Obama hasn’t had time yet to prove that he has improved global relations. Maybe the committee have a hidden agenda ! Marie
@RSBlain - its a negotiation, take a pay fix for five years but take friday off. and build another thing.. they take something.. you just have to ask.. of course with some employers they will retort with ” if we let you do it, then everyone will want that” with such employers you may have to get another job and then leave them using your holidays so you get paid your last month on holidays. save up your holidays
