  • I love the tiny pumpkins!  They are so much fun to carve just like the big ones and use a tealight, although you can’t usually use a lid on them.  I should’ve done that this year, but I haven’t purchased any pumpkins at all.

Love the witchy pictures.  They do have a great look of creative chaos!

That’s a lot of movies, and I think I have seen all but one or two.  Even those I might have seen.  Sometimes I don’t recognize titles, but as soon as I start watching the movie I remember it.

    Happy Halloween!  : )

  • ” Silence Of The Lambs ” That really frightened me. Your witches look very happy and smiley esp. the chaotic one. Marie

  • Thnak you for the link!  I don’t enjoy movies that are “too” scary, either!  My imagination is quite vivid enough as it is!  : )

My husband enjoys that stuff, though.  That’s when I go in another room and read!

Those murals are amazing!  So sad when they are disassembled, though.

  • Those are some neat effects you’re playing with? Is that from a plug in?

  • Becca what a lovely Post. The Art Work is truly amazing! I think you should be crowned the Halloween Queen. Last yuear you excelled yourself within our graphics group. It seems be something you have a great affinity for.

  • Oh how fun! I love the last one!
    *sparkle

  • Beautiful pics and murals!

RYC: Recipe for my Halloween chili (Warning, this is VERY spicy, take out the jalapenos and replace with mild green chilis, or leave them out all together, also, cut way back on the Cayenne pepper if you don’t like it spicy)

1 lb. ground turkey or beef
    4 cans tomato sauce
3 cans chili or pinto beans
    1 can black beans
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can garbanzo beans
1 can diced tomatoes or you can use fresh
1 can diced jalepeno’s (small can)
    1 large purple onion
    4 cloves garlic chopped
1 bell pepper (any color, I like red) chopped
4-6 tbls. Dark chili powder (you just have to taste it)
1-2 tsp. cayenne pepper (or to taste)
    3 tbls. lemon juice
Cumin, celery salt, seasoning salt, black pepper

Brown the meat with cumin, celery salt, seasoning salt, black pepper , garlic, onion, bell pepper, jalepenos, and a good sprinkling of the chili powder and cayenne pepper.
Then you basically just dump in the cans of stuff, and lemon juice, and add more seasoning to taste. We like it extra spicy, so you may want to tone it down quite a bit. Then let it simmer anywhere form 30 minutes to…..all day in a crockpot.
I have “toppings” of cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions, and black olives to add.

BTW, this makes a HUGE pot of chili, probably enough for 20 people.

  • Your picture at top is really cute. I like the way you’ve edited it to reflect your xanga site. Very cool.

You’ve listed a lot of good movies. I never can remember the names of them when I want to. I’d have to keep a database like you!

  • hope you are well…love your graphics.

    blessings,
    sage

  • one of the scariest movies I saw was The Others w/ Nicole Kidman… oh yeah, and Sixth Sense was pretty scary too!

  • That is a great list of horror flicks, I don’t watch them anymore, like you, I have nightmares. Not a good thing for Mom to be the one asking to sleep in someones bed…lol!

  • I like the sign in the banner  and the joyful and kind witch !!
    Good job , Becca.

    Love

    Michel
